Presenting companies broadly represent our small- and midcap coverage universe as well as include new ideas outside our research universe. The conference includes formal presentations by management of about 60 companies. Nearly 90% of the primary presenters come from the highest ranks of management (chairman, chief executive officer, president, or chief operating officer)–a long-standing hallmark of our conferences. We anticipate about 600 participants at this conference.

Global Services Growth Stock Conference

30th Annual Growth Stock Conference

In 2010, nearly 200 companies presented during our conference, one of the most highly regarded in the industry. Attendees had ample opportunity to meet informally with the management teams of the participating companies, as our conference lasted three days. One-on-one meetings with company managements were scheduled continuously. William Blair & Company in 2010 celebrated not only its 75th anniversary as a firm, but also the 30th anniversary of its Growth Stock Conference. To commemorate the event, William Blair President and CEO John R. Ettelson and other members of the firm's executive committee, along with representatives from 29 management teams, rang the Nasdaq opening bell remotely from the conference on Wednesday morning, marking the first time an opening-bell ceremony was conducted remotely from an institutional investor conference.
