The William Blair Healthcare IT Index (ticker WBHCIT)Driven largely by the convergence of several important trends, the healthcare IT (HCIT) industry continues to benefit from heightened demand for clinical information systems. These trends have translated into attractive returns for HCIT investors in recent years, although the extent of this performance has been arguably difficult to quantify on an aggregate basis. The William Blair Healthcare IT Index (WBHCIT), an equal-weighted basket comprising 24 HCIT stocks, has been created to capitalize on the above-mentioned trends. The index, aiming to capture the aggregate stock performance of the majority of industry participants focused on HCIT, should serve as a useful tool in terms of benchmarking both historical and future HCIT stock performance. Please contact your William Blair & Company equity salesperson for a full report on the WBHCIT Index.
