Richard P. Kiphart

Richard P. Kiphart, head of William Blair & Company’s Corporate Finance business since 1995, joined the firm in 1965. Before joining the Corporate Finance Department in 1980, Kiphart previously was head of equity trading for eight years after his initial role in institutional sales. A junior
officer in the U.S. Navy, Kiphart received his B.A. from Dartmouth College in 1963 and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School in 1965. Kiphart is chairman of Nature Vision, Ranir Corp, and Lime Energy. He is also president of the Lyric Opera of Chicago, chairman of Erikson Institute, and serves on the board of Children’s Memorial Hospital.
