John C. Moore

John C. Moore, principal and executive committee member, re-joined William Blair & Company in 2006 and is head of Institutional Equity Sales and Trading. He has spent more than 25 years in the institutional trading business. Before joining William Blair & Company, he was a vice president in equity sales trading at Goldman Sachs. Previously, he served as the co-manager of the institutional equity group for CSFB/First Boston in Chicago, where he worked for 13 years. Mr. Moore began his career at William Blair & Company after graduating from college in 1980, and returned 25 years later to head the institutional trading operation. He has developed and communicated a vision and strategy for trading at William Blair & Company and has led the implementation of his plans.

Mr. Moore received his undergraduate degree in 1980 from Williams College. He lives in Winnetka with his wife and four children.
