RealD Inc. Prices Initial Public Offering

Shares Offered Increase to 14.375 Million Versus 10.75 Million Listed Upon Filing

July 21, 2010 - William Blair & Company announces the success of its client, RealD Inc., in connection with the initial public offering of 14.375 million shares of common stock at $16.00 per share, raising $230 million in proceeds for the company and selling shareholders, including Shamrock Capital Advisors. William Blair & Company served as co-lead manager for the upsized offering: shares offered were increased from 10.75 million upon filing, and the offering was priced above the initial filing range between $13.00 and $15.00.

RealD is a leading global licensor of 3-D technologies. The company’s extensive intellectual property portfolio enables a premium 3-D viewing experience in the theater, the home, and elsewhere. RealD licenses its RealD Cinema Systems to motion picture exhibitors that show 3-D motion pictures and alternative 3-D content. The company also provides the RealD Format, active and passive eyewear, and display and gaming technologies to consumer electronics manufacturers and content producers and distributors to enable the delivery and viewing of 3-D content on high-definition televisions, laptops, and other displays.

This offering represents William Blair & Company’s 7th book-run or lead-managed equity deal in 2010.
