LECG Merges With SMART for $70 Million

March 19, 2010 - William Blair & Company announces the success of its client, LECG Corporation, in connection with its merger with SMART Business Advisory & Consulting, LLC for $70 million. William Blair & Company served as financial advisor to LECG for the transaction. Concurrent with the merger, LECG issued approximately 6.3 million shares of a newly created Series A convertible redeemable preferred stock at a purchase price of $3.96 per share in exchange for a $25 million cash investment in the combined company by Great Hill Partners.
